With thanks to Ketts at Doctor Kish, and Anon from my match report from the Huddersfield game, we can now see what Powell is faced with in the summer. Many of my fellow bloggers have given their take on what may happen with the current squad during the summer, and I will have my tuppenceworth in a week or so, but for now here it is.
Probably the biggest concern for me is the rump of players whose contracts don't expire until summer 2012. There is a real mafia of the mediocre in there, and although the manager may want to get rid, I suspect we may still have some of them around by the time we visit Welling. There have been statements from the club that fourteen players are out of contract in little over a months time, and I have deliberately not included those first year pro's from the end of last season who, quite frankly, have not set the Charlton world alight. Tuna, Stavrinou, Mambo, Davisson, and Perkins.
This would make sixteen out of contract, if they were all on one year deals, so let's wait and see......
Contract End 2011
Anyinsah
Dailly
Fortune
Jenkinson
Llera
Racon
Reid
Semedo
Stewart
Worner
Youga
Contract End 2012
Benson
Doherty
Elliott
Francis
Jackson
McCormack
Wagstaff
Wright-Phillips
Contract End 2013
Solly
Loan
Bessone (May 2011)
Eccleston (May 2011)
Nouble (May 2011)
Parrett (May 2011)
Sullivan (May 2011)
Are we sure that Reid, Anyinsah, and Worner (all of whom signed this season) are only on one-year deals?

Anyinsah is definitely on a one year deal, and my own gut feeling was that Reid and Worner are on two year deals. If that was the case, then we would have the fourteen out of contract that the club talks about. The views I am getting via feedback are solidly on the side of them both only being on one year deals. Time will no doubt tell :-)
ReplyDeleteaddick65: I speak to Ross @ most of the matches and he hasn't got a clue what is happening next season, he is not sure if he is being kept on. so I am sure he is only on a years contract.
