What it does mean of course is that we have seen the first meaningful move toward restructuring the squad into a smaller, and less well paid thing. McLeod must be well and truly in the cross hairs now, as his salary, and attitude are every bit as untenable to the club as the departing Moutaouakil's would have been, if not more so. There is something seriously amiss with McLeod, when not only Parkinson, but Jackett at Millwall, and Gannon at Peterborough drop him like a hot stone. It is such a shame, as even McLeod would have been dangerous at third division level. It's all irrelevant of course, as we simply cannot afford to keep him.
As for the transfer rumours, well, they are just that. Parkinson has placed the inevitable "For Sale" card in the shop window by stating that there has been no expression of interest shown for Bailey, just as a whole plethora of clubs are cited as being interested in him - we shall see.
